Built in 1924, the Heritage-designated Laurier residence takes its inspiration from traditional European architecture. An extensive renovation process will involve lifting the existing house in order to build a new foundation and add an underground garage. Exterior walls and windows will be retained to respect the home’s character while inside, modern amenities like an elevator, 15-seat home theatre and a glass-encased wine cellar will be added to bring the Heritage house into current times. Outside, manicured gardens and a covered outdoor living area will surround a heated pool and pool house. By completion, the Laurier residence will be restored to the original beauty it had nearly a century ago.
